Responsibilities
- Assess patient health conditions by taking vitals, reviewing medical history, and conducting physical examinations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in strict accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to therapies, promptly reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document all patient interactions, observations, and care provided accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as required.
