Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Continuously monitor patients' health status, reporting any significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team immediately.
- Administer Medications: Accurately prepare and administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient treatment plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Colorado.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical technology.
