Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly report any adverse reactions to the care team.
- Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and home care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for critical care roles.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Computer literacy and experience with electronic medical records.
