Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care through direct assessment, monitoring, and intervention.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergent situations and utilize critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (Med-Surg or Critical Care experience is a plus).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound clinical decisions.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
