Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, patient-centered care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and legible documentation of patient care, assessments, and interventions.
- Provide compassionate patient education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred for specialty areas.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
