Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by interviewing, observing, and examining patients.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Document patient care services accurately using electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication adherence.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to all safety protocols and infection control regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (CA RN License).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for most units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
