Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care and assessments based on established nursing protocols.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
- Monitor patient vitals and report any significant changes in condition to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient records, interventions, and outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient safety.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
