Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient assessment and care in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Administer medications and treatments with precision according to protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document clinical information accurately in EMR systems
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and discharge plans
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and NY State nursing regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
Qualifications
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse license (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience, ER background strongly preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities with diverse populations
