Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in strict accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, documenting changes and communicating updates to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, applying critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida (or eligible for endorsement).
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Associate Degree in Nursing - ADN or Bachelor of Science in Nursing - BSN).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic health records.
