Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families during hospital stays.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, BSN, or MSN).
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred (or willing to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as necessary.
