Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs based on the nursing process.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities, including vital signs, intake and output, and changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in code situations as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or obtainable within probationary period).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
