Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assessing patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities and clinical notes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and adhere to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with active state licensure.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Ability to lift and move patients as required by the job description.
