Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and health status to identify changes that require immediate medical attention.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and perform basic life support (BLS) when necessary.
- Assist in the admission and discharge processes, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
