Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and home care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations when needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean patient environment by adhering to all safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (and willingness to obtain Illinois license if applicable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated compassion and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as required.
