Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and taking detailed medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for patients.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition or symptoms promptly.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical notes.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license currently in good standing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Computer literacy and experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
