Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care and monitor patient conditions continuously.
- Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous fluids as prescribed by physicians.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and medical history accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and healing environment by following infection control protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
- Respond to patient emergencies and provide critical care interventions.
Qualifications
- Current, unlicensed Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- ACLS certification preferred for critical care units.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient advocacy.
