Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred for new hires.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and diverse healthcare staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting.
