Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature).
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing protocols and state regulations.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healing environment for patients and staff.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (BSN preferred, ADN accepted).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
