Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs by performing comprehensive physical examinations and medical history reviews.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, recognizing changes and escalating care promptly.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and ensure patient safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Wisconsin.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred for new graduates.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
