Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care: Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and assist with daily living activities under the supervision of senior staff.
- Collaborate with the care team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure holistic patient treatment plans.
- Document patient data: Accurately record patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment in electronic health records.
- Ensure patient safety: Adhere to strict hospital protocols and safety standards to prevent errors and ensure a secure environment.
- Administer treatments: Perform wound care, catheterizations, and other medical procedures as delegated by charge nurses.
- Support patient education: Educate patients and families on disease management, discharge instructions, and health promotion strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate's, Bachelor's, or Diploma).
- Licensure: Current RN license to practice in the State of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with patients and families of diverse backgrounds.
- Empathy: A genuine passion for patient care and a desire to learn and grow in a clinical setting.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
