Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed staff and charge nurses.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.
- Document patient care plans, interventions, and progress in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Participate in shift handovers and unit rounds to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new protocols and technologies.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients with mobility.
