Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Patient Advocacy: Serve as a fierce advocate for patient rights, ensuring dignity, comfort, and safety during hospital stays.
- Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, discharge planning, and post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted for New Grads.
- Licensure: Valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required at hire.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; New Grads with successful clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical maneuvers required for patient care.
