Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment, in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in code situations as required.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of California.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred (or actively pursuing).
- CPR certification (BLS) required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care standards.
- Valid Driver's License (if required for hospital transport duties).
