Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, patient-centered care to adult patients, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to detect changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Document all patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses, in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based committees.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Colorado.
- Graduated within the last 12 months from an accredited nursing school (ASN, BSN, or Diploma).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
