Responsibilities
- Deliver Compassionate Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Regularly check and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Administer Treatments: Perform wound care, administer medications, and perform basic medical procedures under supervision.
- Document Patient Progress: Accurately record patient information, symptoms, and treatment plans in electronic health records.
- Communicate with Team: Relay critical patient information to doctors and nursing supervisors promptly.
- Educate Patients: Teach patients and their families about health conditions and post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred (training available).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Compassion: A genuine, caring attitude and a strong desire to help those in need.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to different hospital units and shifting schedules.
