Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing treatments according to physician orders.
- Assess patient conditions and document accurate, timely medical records and patient progress notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer basic life support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) as required during emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to educate them about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance, ensuring a safe and comfortable hospital environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all hospital policies and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
