Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Deliver high-quality nursing care by assessing patient needs, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with Team: Work effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Assist with Procedures: Support registered staff with various clinical procedures and diagnostic testing as required.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients' daily living needs are met, including bathing, dressing, and meal assistance.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ASN, BSN, or Diploma).
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (or willingness to obtain).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications preferred or required within 30 days of hire.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and the ability to handle emotional situations with grace.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
