Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and medical records.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer basic life support when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- CPR (BLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new medical technologies and procedures.
