Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient history, symptoms, and responses to treatment accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with mobility and daily living activities.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, disease management, and health promotion strategies.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in code blue or other critical response procedures.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Illinois.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, BSN, or MSN).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required upon hire.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to provide high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
