Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and intervene promptly when necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and discharge planning.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and HIPAA compliance.
