Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical exams and detailed clinical assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and strict nursing protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document patient care services, including medical history and changes in condition, accurately in the EHR.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical incidents swiftly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
