Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and nursing protocols
- Administer medications, treatments, and injections with precision and safety
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records (EHR) accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge procedures
- Maintain sterile environments during procedures and wound care
- Respond to emergency situations with critical thinking and composure
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas
- BSN degree or equivalent experience (ADN with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
