Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with medical protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to therapies, escalating issues immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding medical conditions and discharge planning.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit rounds.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Louisiana.
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
