Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, promptly reporting any changes in condition to the nursing supervisor or physician.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and medical records.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience (Medical-Surgical or Telemetry preferred).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
