Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement a nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and patient condition throughout the shift.
- Document patient care services, including symptoms, reactions, and progress in medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Respond to emergency situations and code blue alerts in a calm and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Nursing program (BSN or ADN).
- Current, active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new protocols.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
