Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing comprehensive physical exams and obtaining a thorough health history.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and respond immediately to any changes in condition or emergency situations.
- Document patient care plans, vital signs, and outcomes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication management.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to all safety and infection control regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with a focus on patient safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
