Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient vital signs and alert the medical team to any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
- Provide patient education and support to families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and assist in critical care situations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Colorado.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New grads encouraged to apply).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
