Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient care services, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing station and adhere to all infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred for immediate placement.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to stand, walk, and exert physical effort for extended periods.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
