Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to critical changes in condition or vital signs.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure a safe and clean hospital environment by adhering to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
