Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and evidence-based treatment planning.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status continuously, alerting physicians to any changes in condition immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective care plan.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record system.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, medications, and disease management strategies.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit rounds.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong focus on patient advocacy and safety.
- National certification in a specialty area (e.g., CCRN) is a plus.
