Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by gathering data, physical, psychosocial, and cultural information.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive nursing care plan based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and legal standards.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and code blue situations with rapid and decisive action.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
