Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Health: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, medication side effects, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and code blue situations with critical thinking and composure.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Acute Care setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, empathy, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
