Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and intervene immediately if complications arise.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and medical records.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease management and health promotion.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Louisiana Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (or obtainable within 6 months).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical setting.
