Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records in accordance with legal and hospital standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue alerts with composure and precision.
Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Tennessee.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
