Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough health assessments, monitor patient vitals, and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with legal standards.
- Emergency Response: Provide immediate and effective care during medical emergencies, demonstrating quick critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Education: Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency in IV therapy, and excellent communication abilities.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic care to patients of all backgrounds.
- Adaptability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
