Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians according to strict protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Document patient care services accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to critical situations and emergency calls with urgency and professionalism.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New grads welcome with relevant internships).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for certain units.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic health records.
