Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, reporting significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document patient care services in medical records accurately and timely.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Graduation within the last 12 months or proof of active enrollment in a nursing program with expected graduation date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced team environment.
