Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and reporting changes in patient status to the nursing supervisor or charge nurse.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient conditions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, medications, and wellness strategies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and treatment areas.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Colorado.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
- Completion of or eligibility for New Grad Nurse Residency Program.
- Strong commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
