Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, documenting all findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia or eligibility for reciprocity.
- CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Compassionate attitude and a commitment to patient safety.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and clinical practices.
