Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population.
- Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and legal standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changing patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families on discharge planning, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing research projects.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for high-acuity units.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and a strong commitment to patient safety and advocacy.
